What makes Forever Fit Method different? Transforming lives, not just bodies

All gyms are not created equal.

If fitness is important to you, choosing the right gym will be one of the most important and potentially impactful decisions you can make for your health.

With so many options to choose from, it can feel both overwhelming  and intimidating to navigate through all the different offers and services.

Forever Fit Method is unique not just because I own it and believe wholeheartedly in all that we do here…it’s because we offer something that is not the norm.

We are a client centered, coaching centric gym.  What does that mean?  We focus on the individual from the very first step in the door.

You are not just a name on a list here who just blends into the background, lost without direction.  With us, your concerns, fears, goals will all be heard and acknowledged…and best of all…we work WITH you to achieve ultimate success!

We are not just a place to workout…we are a community, a place for personal growth and life transformation.  Let me explain more…!

Personalized approach

We take pride in our ability to focus on the individual needs of every single person in this gym.  With a focus on tailoring fitness and nutrition plans to unique goals, abilities, and lifestyles.

From your very first day coming into the gym, you will do something we call a “Free intro”.  It’s a sit down conversation that usually lasts about 1 hour.  During this time we find out all about who you are, and get real clear on what goals you’d like to accomplish.

I’ve heard it many, many times that this initial intro is something that is not done in other gyms.  In most places, you sign up for a free class or trial period…step into a class and start moving.

We REQUIRE you to first meet and talk before we even pick up a weight.  This allows us time to get to know exactly what is best for you.  We talk about goals, expectations for success…nutrition  habits, water intake, sleep habits, medication, injuries, and ultimately the true reason for wanting to get into the gym.

I’ve had prospective clients literally tell me “Wow I’ve never thought about that before…” after we dive deeper into the Why behind exercise.

Along with this, our general values and morals stem from the idea of having Empathy and truly hearing out every client in this gym.  We want to know because it impacts the direction that we can take this.

So no matter what kind of fears someone may have, we are able to validate those feelings and show them a path forward that they can feel confident about.

Results-driven philosophy

Jumping right off the Free intro, we want to make sure that we get the best results, as fast as possible.

Another thing that separates us from other gyms is the fact that we will routinely check in with our clients (about every 3-4 months) about their progress.  We always reflect it back to that initial intro and focus on how we can continue to improve results. We call these meetings Goal Reviews.

Something that I have seen over the many years of coaching was this feeling of not making progress.  A new client comes in, does 2-3x a week of training and then after 6 months feels like they are hitting a plateau.

I thought to myself…well it feels like they are doing so much better than the start, but what do we compare it to?  This is why tracking results and progress became so paramount for me and my training.  Then once I was given the keys to the gym, I was able to implement this gym wide!

Results is what we are after here…we don’t want to just go through the motions and not make positive steps to that change we all want to see.

Expert trainers with decades of experience

This one should be a given in any well-respected gym…but having the knowledge to deliver the service is so important.

For us here at Forever Fit Method our trainers consist of 2 gym owners who have trained clients for over 10 years, a physical therapist who has decades of experience both in a clinical office as well as on the gym floor.  We have 2 trainers who have been doing this for over 2 years and only continue to learn from others.

Any gym will say they have the best trainers…but I will put my team up against any other on Long Island and I would be confident that we are top of the line.

And I believe it comes down to a personality trait of openness to learning.  We don’t have any “Alpha Trainers” meaning, trainers who only want people to do things their way.  We have trainers who adapt to each individual, who have knowledge to help injuries improve and help modify movements so that everyone can reach success even with limitations.

Supportive community

We have the best clients.  We really do and it’s not uncommon for members to root each other on, to hangout outside of the gym, and to really support each other through this.

Everyone here is so accepting,  this is a judgement free zone.  For all newcomers and people who have been here for 10 years…the feeling is the same.  We are all in this together, we are in this fitness family that has your best interests at heart.

Since we are such a personalized gym, we create these real connections with everyone in here.  All of our trainers know all of our clients by name, even if they never workout together.  It’s very rare to find a gym that is so tight knit while also being so open to accepting new people.

It's like entering a bar called Cheers..."Norm!!!"....everyone knows your name!

A holistic perspective on aging and fitness

I live by the philosophy that we are training people to be healthy when they are 80.  To be able to move on their own, to do the activities that they enjoy…longevity is the key.

This is starkly different than other facilities that may prioritize the short-term result over the bigger picture.

And that's fine if you care more about the short term goals.  This is why places like Orange theory and F45 have become successful.  They focus on burning calories, doing intense workouts that will get fast results.

Here at FFM, yes we care about results no doubt but the pacing and speed that we take it at is far different.  A broken down body is no good after 3 months of intense work…that’s the opposite of the goal!!

Also with that being said, we have clients in their 70’s and 80’s working out with us.  Not many facilities cater to the older population.  We believe that we can help transform our clients' lives for the better.

One example is a client of ours who is over 70  years old.  She started with us with various knee and shoulder injuries that prevent her from doing some things.  In a different gym, she might be thrown into a class and forced to be in pain throughout workouts.  Instead, she does 1on1 training and has seen tremendous progress in her strength levels.

She also works on balance and recently was able to recover from a potential fall because she has been working on her balance with us.

It’s about long term health, not just the quick fix!

I care…

Why do people get into the fitness industry?  Isn’t everyone’s goal to help others?

I wish this was the case but I’ve seen it too many times before…trainers who only care about their own egos and abilities.  Owners who only care about getting in as many clients in as possible.

My passion is to help.  I get riled up every single day when someone comes into this gym and tells me something awesome that has happened for them.

I believe fitness and health is the MOST important thing that we can control every single day.  We get to choose how we feel and how we live.  This was always my calling and I’m honored to get to help people feel and look their best.

I like to think that I take the time and truly listen to all members in my gym.  I’ve always had the emotional intelligence to meet people where they are at.  I don’t push too hard and I don’t make it easy for people to just go through the motions.  It’s a medium that feels right for each person.

My goals are simple:

  • To provide the best results in the most supportive environment possible.

  • To prove to clients that they can do far more than they may have thought possible

  • To provide careers for passionate trainers

  • To provide a comfortable life for my family

I do this with a smile on my face, with a welcoming gesture and with a genuine care that is hard to ignore.  (At least, that’s what I am shooting for!)

Conclusion

Our gym is special.  Plain and simple.

We choose to see each person as an individual with unique needs.  We approach with care and empathy in a non-intimidating environment.  Our community is something that can’t truly be put into words, but it’s a place that has become a second home for many.

If anything from this has hit home with you and what you want to see with a gym, I first encourage you to set up an intro.  It’s free.. it doesn’t cost you anything aside from your time AND even if we aren’t the best fit for you, I promise you will leave with actionable items you can do to help you on your journey.
